New Bathroom Replacement – Howard Beach NY
This bathroom was constructed after World War Two utilizing the old “mud job” procedures of building a bathroom. The walls were plaster, uneven and not leveled. The back wall of the bathroom had a metal wall vent that is used as an exhaust vent, very ugly and painted pink. The tiles were 4″ x 4″, pink with black wall caps. The tiles were not in good shape and the bottom two rows over the bath tub was missing grout and had mildew behind the tiles in the walls. We removed all the tiles, removed the mildew walls and repaired the walls with cement. We then went to work like a doctor operating on a sick patient. The pictures will show the new bathroom with a custom made (by us) exhaust vent made from a ceramic tile. That is the difference between Tile Repair Specialists and someone who thinks they can do tiles every now and then!

Bathroom Repaired – Middle Village NY
The owner made it clear; “I don’t want to spend a lot of money for a new bathroom repair”. And she did not. We used the same tub, toilet, vanity, and sheet rock walls outside the bathtub area. We removed the water damaged wooden floor and walls around the bathtub area and replaced them with new 1/2 inch cement backer-boards, floor and walls. The ceramic tiles size 12″ x 8″ were installed using the brick-look effect. This gave the bathroom a much needed new look. The old exhaust fan was replaced along with a new one handler shower body. The old ceramic toilet paper holder was replaced with a new chrome holder. Matching plastic tile trim was installed all around the bathroom to give the ceramic tiles a finishing look. Matching ceramic floor tiles size 13″ x 13″ were installed giving this bathroom the “new face lift” it badly needed!

New Bathroom – Howard Beach NY
The old bathroom had a yellow tub, and yellow wall and floor ceramic tiles. Everything was removed including the wooden window. The bathroom floor was a little weak so we installed 2/3 inch thick plywood over the existing bathroom floor. After the new tub was installed, 1/2 inch thick cement backer board was installed all round the bath tub area including the ceiling. Plastic molding was installed around the vinyl window to prevent any molding or the window rotting away. One row of a ceramic tile trim was installed all around the ceramic tile walls to beautify the bathroom look. Plastic tile trim was used to hide the ceramic tile edge for all outside corners. New closet and entrance doors, mirror medicine cabinet, bathroom lights and electrical outlets were all installed making this new bathroom a welcome sight for this old house.
